In addition to meeting the requirements of most workplaces, being trained in emergency life-saving skills makes you a better citizen and healthcare worker. This course will train you in the following skills:

First-Aid skills include information about recognizing and responding to sudden illnesses such as diabetic emergencies, stroke, seizures, and heart attacks; you will also learn how to dress wounds and stop bleeding among other first aid skills.
Cost: $20 Non-Refundable Registration Fee and $70 Tuition/Certification Fee

Class meets once during the indicated day from 10am - 4pm. Individual sessions available for an additional fee.
CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation) so you will be able to perform effective rescue breaths and chest compressions to increase the chances of survival for someone in cardiac arrest.
AED (automated external defibrillator) training will prepare you to apply and activate an AED to monitor the cardiac actiity of an unconscious patient and potentially deliver life-saving defibrillations.

Additional certifications such as pediatric CRP/AED/First Aid are available at an additional $20 charge during Adult CPR/AED/First Aid sessions.
